Bio

Chase Fittin is a twenty-four-year-old dancer and choreographer who recently graduated with his BFA in Dance at the Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University. He has trained in all styles of dance ranging from ballet, modern, contemporary, jazz, tap, and numerous styles of hip hop. As an artist, he is interested in breaking the mold between genres of dance and exploring how to eliminate the boundaries set on dance styles themselves. Within his own choreography, he wants to blur the lines between distinctions in dance to broaden the minds of dancers as to what they can create or do. Chase has vast experience within the commercial side of dance as he has performed for various productions including the Billboard Music Awards, WNBA, and Microsoft. He also has trained heavily in concert dance as he has had the opportunity to work with choreographers such as Yin Yue, Sidra Bell, danah bella, and Christian Denice. Chase allows his experiences in dance to influence him, and wants to continue to blend elements of his training together, furthering his artistry as a result. Chase currently is a dancer for the MJ Evolution show as well as a dancer in Cirque du Soleil’s “America’s Got Talent Superstars Live” at the Luxor.

Chase’s movement style connects deeply to music as he incorporates musicality through detailed and articulated movements. He wants to embody the music through his choreography, as it helps the dancer feel more authentic with their intentions or feelings. Since music is such a dynamic form of art, his choreography aims at replicating the subtleties and intricacies of music within the body through movement. Chase feels as though dance is an important part of his expression and artistic journey, as his choreography and movement allow him to have a voice without having to even say a word.
